Since we are from Boulder, many members of the Boulder Cuba Sister City Project are athletic. We are hikers, walkers, runners, bikers, skiers and others interested in sports. Our Committee is interested in continuing to help put on a running race in Yateras as a swift, sweaty way to bring together people in Yateras and Boulder. Specifically, the first MaraYateras 7K run was held in December in Palenque. There were runners from all the Yateras towns taking part, as well as several Sister City members. The race, although small, was a success, and we look forward to hiking, running and walking in the green hills of Yateras with our new-found friends in the coming years.
